Meadowlands Day of Community Service - Helping the Rhawnhurst NORC
On April 25, 2010, members of the Meadowlands Country Club came together in NE Philadelphia to participate in a day of service helping the elderly in the Rhawnhurst NORC (Naturally Occuring Retirement Community) clean and fix up their homes. The day was organized by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.

In February, Governor Ed Rendell will announce his Fiscal Year 2010-2011 budget and present it to the General Assembly. As a supporter of the Mitzvah Food Project, please let the Governor know that the fight against hunger in your community is important to you. Urge him to help our neighbors in need by recommending an appropriation of $22 million for the State Food Purchase Program. At this time we need your help. Please call the Governor’s office at (717) 787-2500 and ask that he include $22 million dollars in funding for the State Food Purchase Program. Your support is critical in securing the necessary dollars needed to fund the State Food Purchase Program.
