Neighborhood Collaboratives (Kehillot)

Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs offer a wealth of Jewish opportunities and experiences. Each neighborhood has its own flavor of Jewish culture, practice, and resources. Federation has helped support the creation of Kehillot, or community collaboratives. Each Kehillah is a collaborative effort of the synagogues, Jewish agencies, community members and Federation; working together to increase the strength and vitality of Jewish community in their neighborhood. NESS: Nurturing Excellence in Synagogue Schools

The Greater Philadelphia Jewish community is participating in a pioneering restructuring program designed to address the nationwide crisis of escalating synagogue school dropout rates.
