Albert Einstein's Victor Center for Jewish Genetic Diseases offers
carrier screening for recessive genetic diseases that occur at a higher
rate in the Ashkenazi Jewish community, as well as education and genetic
counseling on this topic.  Screening is offered at a discounted rate to
all members of the community, and is free for students and engaged or
newly married couples.

The Mosaic Outdoor Mountain Club of Pennsylvania is an outdoors-oriented club for Jewish adults serving the Philadelphia and South Jersey regions.  We offer a variety of activities, including outdoors activities such as hiking and canoeing, as well as more social activities such as museum trips, walking tours, and Jewish holiday related events.  Pennsylvania Mosaic is one of many Mosaic chapters nationwide, which offer similar activities.  There is also a national Mosaic organization which runs several large events a year.  For more information on the national organization and other clubs, go to www.mosaics.org.
