The 2012 High Holiday Food Drive

Registration is now open!

The High Holiday Food Drive is the Mitzvah Food Project’s largest food drive of the year. With local synagogues’ help last year, the Food Project collected over 40,000 pounds of food, which supplemented food orders for approximately four months at the Food Project’s six food pantry sites.

The Mitzvah Food Project needs your help!

Over the past five months we have had 16% more clients coming to our food pantries.

Due to this increase, we need additional volunteer support at various pantry locations.

Any help or additional help you could give would mean so much to our clients.

About Us:

The Mitzvah Food Project provides food and basic staples in a caring and dignified manner to those in our community who are in need and to educate and advocate on their behalf. We operate 6 pantries in the Philadelphia Area, and distributed over 22,000 nutritious food packages, 20,432 supermarket gift cards, and 4,372 fresh fruit/vegetable packages to food-insecure households last year.
