Because We Care

For over a quarter of a century, Because We Care has been making a major contribution to the community through gifts that give twice.

Their lovely packages give to the recipient through the creativity, beauty and delicious items that go into every presentation. And they give to the needy because all their profits go the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia to help those in our area, in Israel and around the world.

Everyone who works for Because We Care is a volunteer, and everything they do is put together with joy and dedication.

Now there are more ways than ever to give happiness through Because We Care.

Every package is individually designed and created with care, for protection, freshness and beauty, with colorful wrapping, and creative bows. They put in many goodies made by their own volunteers, and other delightful, delicious items selected just for their unique gifts. Their expert staff will help you choose from their cornucopia of specialties.

Mitzvah Baskets are spectacular centerpiece displays that dress up any affair. They're filled with food that is distributed to the hungry by the Jewish Federation’s Mitzvah Food Project after your event. They even provide table cards explaining your contribution to the Mitzvah Food Project. Your decoration becomes your donation.

Mitzvah Bags can be donated by you directly to the Mitzvah Food Project in honor or memory of a loved one. An attractive certificate will be sent to the recipient acknowledging your donation.


How to Order:
Call 215-635-4774. Because We Care volunteers are in the office between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. weekdays. (Other times leave a message with your name and phone number.)
Because We Care will help you select the appropriate gift items and message. You will be billed by mail. All proceeds are donated to the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.

Because We Care needs more volunteers to help them make these packages – Mondays – Fridays, 9:30-1:00.
