MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH JFCS

You can be the one to make a difference!
Jewish Family and Children's Service is a comprehensive social service organization.
JFCS offers professional counseling and support services to people in every phase of the
life cycle, from adoption to senior services.  We count on volunteers to keep our many
programs going.
• Enrich the lives of seniors:  befriend elderly adults and help them with everyday activities
such as shopping, driving to appointments, help with paperwork and minor home
maintenance and repair.  Help alleviate their loneliness and develop mutually rewarding
relationships
• Support adults under 65 through challenging times by providing similar services

• Assist adults with special needs:  Befriend an individual or participate in one of our social
programs for adults with developmental disabilities
• Tutor children and adults in reading, writing and math (must be a teacher, reading
specialist or trained tutor).
• Make a caring connection with Jews who are ill or isolated in nursing homes, hospitals,
assisted living communities, boarding homes and hospices
• Deliver challahs, on Fridays, to Jewish hospital patients
